Welcome to the Morgan County EMA Website Minimize

The Mission of the Morgan County Emergency Management is to reduce loss of life and property and protect our county's critical infrastructure from all types of hazards through a comprehensive, risk based, emergency management program of mitigation, preparedness, response and recovery.  Our "goal" is to help our citizens prepare for and cope with any type of emergency.

Our primary responsibility is to maintain the county's emergency operations plan.  This document coordinates all fire, law enforcement, medical and allied disaster agencies.  A large portion of our office's responsibility is to educate the general public and businesses on disaster preparedness and response.  Our office is also responsible for emergency communications for the community in the event of a large-scale failure.

Morgan County Emergency Management also houses the American Red Cross in the Emergency Management building located at 1789 E. Morgan St., Martinsville, IN 46151.  This is an organization that works closely with the Emergency Managment at all times especially during a disaster.  To contact the American Red Cross you need to call 765-342-2705.

While the Director and Deputy Director are part time we strive to keep fire, law enforcement, medical and allied disaster agencies along with the general public informed of changing emergency conditions throughout Morgan County.
